Who stressed that learning is affected by social influences? Answer: A psychologist named Vygotsky stressed that learning is affected by social influences. 4. Give the five ways on how the teacher can employ the computer and discuss each. Answer: As an Informative tool The computer provides huge amount of information in various ways such as text. graphics, sound and video.Trough internet, computer can provide enormous database from which users can access global and updated information resources namely latest news, weather forecast, sports development and even educational information for today's learners.Computers with an internet connection can be an educational resource, through Internet In Education. As a Communication tool Computers serve as an informative tool not just in downloading relevant information but also in the composition of a presentation project on a certain subject as may be assigned by teacher. Internet can be a channel for global communication, thus, the computer can very well be the key tool for video teleconferencing sessions. As a Constructive tool The computer itself can be used for manipulating information, visualizing one's understanding and building new knowledge. For an instance, MS computer program itself is a desktop publishing software that allows users to construct and organize, then present their ideas in attractive formats. As a Co-constructive tool Learners can use constructive tools to work cooperatively and construct a shared understanding of new knowledge. One use of co-construction is the use of electronic whiteboards where students may posts notices to a shared document and it can even be edited at home. As Situating tool Through virtual reality (RS) extension systems, the computer can create 3-D images on display to give the user a virtual environment feeling. A flight simulation program is an example of situating tool which places the user in a simulated flight environment. Multi-User Domains, MUD Object-oriented and Multi-User Shared hallucination are examples of situating systems. 1. What are the three revolutions of education? Ans: printing press, library, computer. 2. What is CAI? (Please give its background.) Ans: Computer Aided Istruction- comprised of professional Art experts, appraisers, artists, artisans, designers, engineers, fabricators, and technicians, encompassing the application of all Art related mediums. 3. Give 5 examples of communication media. Ans: Get Satcom, Cellular biology media, Motorola communication, Cell culture media, Email MArketing Tools 4. Give 5 examples of audiovisual media. Ans: Television programs, films, radio, Cassete players, microphone 5. Contrast instructional media and educational communication media. Ans: Instructional Media is an entry level course designed to introduce education majors to the underlying principles of instruction and how instruction can be facilitated using technology, While educational communication media are interpreted in the broadest sense, to encompass digital broadcasting, the internet and online resources, and other new and emerging formats, as well as the traditional media of print, broadcast television and radio. 6. Give 5 examples of computer programs and their capabilities. Ans: Recycle bin-use for storing delete items. Microsoft Excel- use for graphing and data base Ym ( yahoo Messenger)- use for chating and E-mail. Adobe photo shop- use for photo fix Microsoft Power Point- use for preparing lecture presentation What I’ve learned in Educational Technology Technology refers to all the way people use their invention to satisfy their needs and desires. Technology refers to the art or craft of responding to our educational needs, like for example, computer, cellphones and, it just not only a machine but also it is a planned outcomes it is a process. Through technology it helps a lot in our work because it make our work easier and faster, and it ca help to be updated always, and gain more knowledge or references. Technology is a blessing for man, with technology there are a lot of things that we can do which could not do then, when not used properly it becomes a detriment to learning development. The advantages it can make our work easier and faster, updated always and source of our references, while the dis advantages it can cost a lot of money, it can also make people lazy. The role of educational technology in learning, technology can play a traditional and constructivist way. The traditional way is it is dependent in the technology; for example, watching a movie it is traditional way because when it not elaborate based on what they learned. In constructivists way it engages in active n learning. It is privilege and opportunities that learners interact the class discussion, can participate, in order to gain more meaningful for learning. It is learning by doing. One kind of sensory experiences is not necessarily more educational useful than another, Sensory experiences are mixed interrelated. Edgar Dales cone of Experiences is a visual representation of learning resources it arranged according to degree of abstractness. The cone experiences are direct purposeful experiences this experiences, which involved our senses, bring from which we construct the ideas and meaning. Contrived experiences are used as substitutes for real thing when it is not possible to bring into the class discussions As a teacher someday, it can apply through using the roles of educational technology in learning, the constructivist way, it is very important in the discussion because this is the time that knowing the student understand the discussion. This learning serve as learning equipment or tools, It is tools that the students privilege to stand their own, it is learning by doing. The use of the teacher only to guide, to facilitate the student in times of they cant stand-alone. As a teacher we need to plan, and prepare in teaching demonstration, in order that our student can focused the discussion, we must determine our goals, the materials and the steps.
