Describe a traditional classroom. (You may embed pictures or videos.) Anwer: It is usually arranged with neat columns and rows of students chairs, while the teacher stands in front of the classroom or sits behind his deck. 3. Describe an SCL classroom. (You may embed pictures and videos.) Answers: SCL classroom the teacher pours information to the students learners, much like pouring water from a jug into cups. Learning Activity 2 1. Who introduced constructivism? Answer: Constructivism is introduced by Piaget(1981) and Bruner(1990). 2. This is an effort to show that the construction of knowledge is governed by social, historical and cultural contexts. Answer: Social constructivism is an effort to show that the construction of knowledge is governed by social, historical and cultural contexts. 3. Who stressed that learning is affected by social influences? Answer: A psychologist named Vygotsky stressed that learning is affected by social influences. 4. Give the five ways on how the teacher can employ the computer and discuss each. Answer: As an Informative tool The computer provides huge amount of information in various ways such as text. graphics, sound and video.Trough internet, computer can provide enormous database from which users can access global and updated information resources namely latest news, weather forecast, sports development and even educational information for today's learners.Computers with an internet connection can be an educational resource, through Internet In Education. As a Communication tool Computers serve as an informative tool not just in downloading relevant information but also in the composition of a presentation project on a certain subject as may be assigned by teacher. Internet can be a channel for global communication, thus, the computer can very well be the key tool for video teleconferencing sessions. As a Constructive tool The computer itself can be used for manipulating information, visualizing one's understanding and building new knowledge. For an instance, MS computer program itself is a desktop publishing software that allows users to construct and organize, then present their ideas in attractive formats. As a Co-constructive tool Learners can use constructive tools to work cooperatively and construct a shared understanding of new knowledge. One use of co-construction is the use of electronic whiteboards where students may posts notices to a shared document and it can even be edited at home. As Situating tool Through virtual reality (RS) extension systems, the computer can create 3-D images on display to give the user a virtual environment feeling. A flight simulation program is an example of situating tool which places the user in a simulated flight environment. Multi-User Domains, MUD Object-oriented and Multi-User Shared hallucination are examples of situating systems. 1. What are the three revolutions of education? Ans: printing press, library, computer. 2. What is CAI? (Please give its background.) Ans: Computer Aided Istruction- comprised of professional Art experts, appraisers, artists, artisans, designers, engineers, fabricators, and technicians, encompassing the application of all Art related mediums. 3. Give 5 examples of communication media. Ans: Get Satcom, Cellular biology media, Motorola communication, Cell culture media, Email MArketing Tools 4. Give 5 examples of audiovisual media. Ans: Television programs, films, radio, Cassete players, microphone 5. Contrast instructional media and educational communication media. Ans: Instructional Media is an entry level course designed to introduce education majors to the underlying principles of instruction and how instruction can be facilitated using technology, While educational communication media are interpreted in the broadest sense, to encompass digital broadcasting, the internet and online resources, and other new and emerging formats, as well as the traditional media of print, broadcast television and radio. 6. Give 5 examples of computer programs and their capabilities. Ans: Recycle bin-use for storing delete items. Microsoft Excel- use for graphing and data base Ym ( yahoo Messenger)- use for chating and E-mail. Adobe photo shop- use for photo fix Microsoft Power Point- use for preparing lecture presentation What I’ve learned in Educational Technology Technology refers to all the way people use their invention to satisfy their needs and desires. Technology refers to the art or craft of responding to our educational needs, like for example, computer, cellphones and, it just not only a machine but also it is a planned outcomes it is a process. Through technology it helps a lot in our work because it make our work easier and faster, and it ca help to be updated always, and gain more knowledge or references. Technology is a blessing for man, with technology there are a lot of things that we can do which could not do then, when not used properly it becomes a detriment to learning development. The advantages it can make our work easier and faster, updated always and source of our references, while the dis advantages it can cost a lot of money, it can also make people lazy. The role of educational technology in learning, technology can play a traditional and constructivist way. The traditional way is it is dependent in the technology; for example, watching a movie it is traditional way because when it not elaborate based on what they learned. In constructivists way it engages in active n learning. It is privilege and opportunities that learners interact the class discussion, can participate, in order to gain more meaningful for learning. It is learning by doing. One kind of sensory experiences is not necessarily more educational useful than another, Sensory experiences are mixed interrelated. Edgar Dales cone of Experiences is a visual representation of learning resources it arranged according to degree of abstractness. The cone experiences are direct purposeful experiences this experiences, which involved our senses, bring from which we construct the ideas and meaning. Contrived experiences are used as substitutes for real thing when it is not possible to bring into the class discussions As a teacher someday, it can apply through using the roles of educational technology in learning, the constructivist way, it is very important in the discussion because this is the time that knowing the student understand the discussion. This learning serve as learning equipment or tools, It is tools that the students privilege to stand their own, it is learning by doing. The use of the teacher only to guide, to facilitate the student in times of they cant stand-alone. As a teacher we need to plan, and prepare in teaching demonstration, in order that our student can focused the discussion, we must determine our goals, the materials and the steps.

LB#17:Assessment in a Constructivist,Technology-Supported Learning
By using this kind of teaching learning strategy, the students will enable
to understand better about the content as they perform real-world tasks such as researching for answers to problems, analyzing, assessing, making decision & working w/other.
In case your schools lack computers & other more recent technological gadgets & students are not familiar w/ & are skilled in computers, then make use of a combination of media available. It will be project based multi-media learning.

LB#16::Project Based Learning is a teaching and learning model (curriculum development and instructional approach) that emphasizes student-centered instruction by assigning projects. It allows students to work more autonomously to construct their own learning, and culminates in realistic, student-generated products. More specifically, project-based learning can be defined as follows :

1. Focuses on the central concepts of a discipline
2. Engaging learning experiences that involve students in complex, real-world projects through which they develop and apply skills and knowledge
3. Learning that requires students to draw from many information sources and disciplines in order to solve problems
4. Learning in which curricular outcomes can be identified up-front, but in which the outcomes of the student's learning process are neither predetermined nor fully predictable
5. Experiences through which students learn to manage and allocate resources such as time and materials

LB#15:Project-based Learning and Multimedia : What it is?
It's best to start with some definitions. By project-based learning, we mean a teaching method in which students acquire new knowledge and skills in the course of designing, planning, and producing some product or performance. By multimedia, we mean the integration of media objects such as text, graphics, video, animation, and sound to represent and convey information. Thus, our definition is:

Project-based multimedia learning is a method of teaching in which students acquire new knowledge and skills in the course of designing, planning, and producing a multimedia product.

Your students' multimedia products will be technology-based presentations, such as a computerized slide show, a Web site, or a video. These presentations will include evidence that your students have mastered key concepts and processes you need to teach and will be a source of great pride for them and for you.

LESSON#13

LB#13:Teaching with Visual Symbols

The different kinds of visual symbols can be used in different purposes to demonstrate or to organize your discussion through symbols. Obviously, graphs are easier to understand than word discussion. Your discussion should possess concrete visual aids using the symbols.
The perfect cartoon needs no caption. The less the artist depends on words, the more effective the symbolism. The symbolism conveys the message. You can also use this as a springboard for a lesson or a concluding activity.

LB#12:The Power Of Film, Video and T.V In the Classroom

The Power of Film from Avenger_Comedy on Vimeo.

The appeal of visual media continues to make film, video and television as educational tools with high potential impact. They are now more accessible and less cumbersome to use. Let us take advantage on them in the classroom.
Television and film are one-way communication device consequently, they encourage passivity.
The small screen size puts television at a disadvantage when compared with the possible size of projected motion pictures, for example.
Excessive tv viewing works against the dev’t of the child’s ability to visualize and to be creative and imaginative, skills, that are needed in problem solving.
There is much violence in tv.

LB # 11: Field Trips
A field trip or excursion is a journey by a group of people to a place away from their normal environment.

The purpose of the trip is usually observation for education, non-experimental research or to provide students with experiences outside their everyday activities, such as going camping with teachers and their classmates. The aim of this research is to observe the subject in its natural state and possibly collect samples. In western culture people first come across this method during school years when classes are taken on school trips to visit a geological or geographical feature of the landscape, for example. Much of the early research into the natural sciences was of this form. Charles Darwin is an important example of someone who has contributed to science through the use of field trips.[citation needed]

To mitigate these risks and expenses, most school systems now have formalized field trip procedures that considers the entire trip from estimation, approval and scheduling through planning the actual trip and post-trip activities.

DIVSHARE....

There are many file sharing websites available on the internet, however we all know that how difficult it is, to find out a service which offers a decent plan or package. To name a few services, we’ve got Rapidshare & Megaupload (major ones). However, the problem is that these services have put various restriction on the free users and most of the times, their ad placement is quite forced and that’s why as a user, you can get frustrated. The biggest problem with these file sharing services is that they allow you to upload files but for a limited period i.e. if the file is not accessed or downloaded for long time, then they are removed from their servers.
However, now we’ve got DivShare with us and this file hosting service is improving day by day. The good thing about this service is that it has got such wonderful offers that you’ll easily fall in love with this service. Let’s look at various aspects of DivShare and why it is better than others.

LB# 9: Teaching with Dramatized Experience

As what i have understand about this teaching with dramatized experience,"Although the technique is relatively simple and one that most teachers and trainers can use without much prior experience, the difference between the best and worst run role-plays can be considerable. At best the exercise will be seen as relevant, essential part of learning; it will be an enjoyable and exiting experience and the students will be left with a greater understanding of their subject and a clear idea of how to develop it further. At worst the students will be board, embarrassed and even angry. They may have achieved very little and even acquired erroneous learning; they may be left with a feeling of inadequacy and not knowing what it was about."
